Daniel DeWitt,  Worship Pastor
Daniel graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. He played in the rock band Winston Audio for years and continues to play as a solo artist around Atlanta. In 2015, he received a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Georgia State University and is currently working as a middle school speech-language pathologist. Daniel’s wife, Mackenzie, is a pharmacist at a Children’s Heathcare of Atlanta. They started attending Veritas in 2007, and were married the same year. In 2014, Daniel and Mackenzie became parents to Lois and Faye. They all live in Tucker, GA, along with Henry the family dog.

Liz McKenzie, Children’s Minister, Administrative Assistant
Liz McKenzie was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. Her family moved to the mission field when she was only 10 weeks old and served in a Bible College in Jamaica for her first year of life. After that, they moved to Georgia where she has been ever since. She is currently a stay at home mom but also works as a Client Support Representative for Col. Lee Ellis (former Vietnam POW) and his corporate training company, Leadership Freedom. She and her husband Joshua live in Tucker and have two little boys, Joshua David and Gabriel. Liz has always had a love for children as long as she could remember, as well as a love for planning events and serving others. These things combined made volunteering to direct the Children’s Ministry at Veritas seem like a perfect fit for her.

Dr. David Slagle, Lead Pastor
David is a native of Atlanta (according to his mom, the first infant born at South Fulton Hospital). For 20 years, David served as an R.N. in various healthcare settings in Atlanta. David lives in Decatur, completed his Masters of Divinity in Decatur and completed his Doctor of Ministry at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY (the holy city). In 2003, he felt God’s calling to plant Veritas Church. David is married to Debbie, an amazing kindergarten teacher at Fernbank Elementary, and they have a son named Jack who’s cool as the other side of the pillow.
